Participation

Participation is important for dialogue in the classroom. It allows for conversations between teacher and student, and most importantly STUDENT TO STUDENT. This is a form of learning and assessment for both the teachers and students. It allows for students to formulate thoughts into productive statements, which will allow for optimal growth. Since students work in groups, it is vital that they fully participate within their group as well as in the whole class discussion.

 

Make-Up Work

If you are absent for any reason, you are expected to find out the work that you missed and make it up to receive credit.

 

Student Learning Non-Negotiables (School-Wide)

-Students will participate fully in all learning activities.

-Students will remain respectful by valuing and encouraging others at all times.

-Students will complete ALL assignments.

-Students will take pride in their work and the work of others by maintaining academic honesty and integrity.

-Students will keep our home clean.

 

I-Ready-Davidson County Schools is participating in I-Ready this year. One class period a week will be dedicated to I-Ready in Math. Students will also be given at least one day a week to work on I-Ready during interventions. I-Ready assignments are classwork grades. Students should also work on I-Ready at home, as this is the ONLY way to receive extra points on assessments. Students will be responsible for maintaining an I-Ready log for each quarter.
